Àdam Maijó

Àdam Maijó is one of the most promising young Spanish long-distance runners of his generation. He began his career in athletics participating in regional cross country races in the province of Tarragona, until at the age of 16 he entered into the Amposta Technification Center. A year later he arrived at the C.A.R. of San Cugat, restricted to the best athletes in the country, and began training with his current coach: the award-winning former athlete Carles Castillejo.

He holds several Spanish national titles as U20 and U23, both indoors, outdoors and cross country. In addition, he is making great performances over distances ranging from 1,500 meters to 10 kilometers road race, displaying great versatility.

He has competed with the Spanish team, among other championships, at the European Cross Country Championships in Lisbon, Dublin and Piedmont and in the European U20 Championships in Borås 2019, where he was sixth in the 3000m final.
