Carla Domínguez

The Catalan Carla Domínguez is one of the great rising stars of Spanish athletics. She began in the world of sports as a triathlete, making during her early years some sporadic forays into the winter athletics season in indoor and cross country events, while in the summer she focused on the triathlon season, becoming Spanish U18 champion in 2019 and Duathlon European junior champion in 2020 in Punta Umbría.

That same year she left the C.A.R. from San Cugat to begin training with the coach Albert Parreño and with him was her definitive emergence as an athlete, achieving in 2021 the European U20 gold medal in 5000 meters and the fifth place in the World U20 Championships, in addition to the full number of national titles outdoor, indoor and in cross country.

At 18, she has signed her first professional contract with ASICS, while she continues an impressive evolution that has already made her one of the best Spanish athletes of all time in her category.
