Elian Numa López

The Galician middle-distance runner Elian Numa began to practice athletics at the age of 12 in the small Coruña municipality of Cee, in the heart of the Costa da Morte, from where he was born, making it compatible at first with other activities and beginning to love a sport in which today he is a great promise, thanks in part to the one who was his first mentor: Jorge Lariño.

At the age of 16 he moved to La Coruña to train with José Carlos Tuñas, with whom he continued a progression that led him in 2019 to proclaim Spanish U20 outdoor champion in 800 meters and compete internationally with the Spanish team for the first time at the European U20 Championships in Borås. The following year he made his debut in the U23 category achieving the outdoor and indoor national silver medals.
