International U23 middle-distance runner
Hugo de Miguel is one of the new Sorian athletes destined to be the replacement of the great middle-distance runners from his province over the last decades. He is a specialist in 1500 meters although has good performance over longer distances.
He has already been several times international with the Spanish national team both on the track and cross country, as well as accumulating several national medals in the different categories he has been through.
In 2018, he achieved the fourth place at the European U18 Championships in Gyór, and had a remarkable performance at the Youth Olympic Games held in Buenos Aires, also attending the ISF World Cross Country Championship in Paris that season.
He trains with the Sorian coach Ramón Zapata, while continues his evolution as athlete already in the U23 category.
