Lucía Pinacchio Lucía Pinacchio

The Mallorcan Lucía Pinacchio has known that she wanted to be a professional athlete since she started playing hockey at the age of 8. At 12 she began to practice athletics and at 14 she was proclaimed Spanish champion for the first time, in her first year as U16 in the distance of 600 meters.

She began training with Tomeu Rigo and with him she achieved the full number of possible national titles in 800 meters as U18, twice indoor and twice outdoor. In her second year, she also achieved her first international milestone, winning the bronze medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival.

In 2020, as soon as she entered the U20 category, she climbed to her first podium in a Spanish Senior Championship, hanging the silver medal at the Ourense indoor track in a sample of unusual precocity.

She currently trains at the High Performance Center of Madrid under the command of Arturo Martín, and her good performance in the 400 meters has also allowed her to be Spanish U20 champion in this event and European U20 runner-up in 4x400 meters.
