Pedro Vázquez

The athlete from Vigo Pedro Vázquez began to practice athletics in the school environment until, at the age of 14, he entered the R.C. Celta and started training with Manuel Martínez Ageitos, who has been his coach to date.

In 2019 he won his first Spanish national title, as U16 in the 3000 meters outdoors, which he would endorse two years later as U18, this time indoors.

In 2022, after an injury that caused him to miss the last part of the winter season, he achieved his first international success winning the 3000 meters at the ISF Gymnasiade in Caen (France), and later he also represented Spain in the same distance at the World U20 Championships in Cali Colombia).

The next few years of his sports career will be spent in USA, having received a scholarship to study and train at the University of Portland.
