The 400 meters runner Ruth Peña Guillén was born in Parla (Madrid) in 1998 and has already been Spanish champion in the one lap event in the U20 and U23 categories.
She made her international debut with the Spanish National Team in 2015 at the World Youth Championships held in Cali (Colombia), and participated two years later in the European Junior Championships in Grosseto (Italy), where she reached the semifinals.
She trains in Madrid with Jesús Álvarez and continues improving her personal best year after year, which for now has allowed her to be sixth at the Spanish outdoor nationals and fifth indoor, with the change in distance at the 800 meters in her mind.
